Please, help identify weird sound
Hi guys, I tried to record a really strange sound my car has been making recently. It seems to be heard from the cabin only (not from outside). It's some sort of screeching or whining. It seems like it's coming from the tweeter or the vent, but it is unaffected by the radio being on/off or the blower being on/off. I only experience this in cold weather and after 30 minutes or so of driving, it mostly goes away.
It could be anything from electrical parasites to slipping belt. Anyone ever experienced this and found the cause ? Thanks P.S. Car is 2009 335i [u2b][/u2b] |

Thanls, I'll look into that, but it would be kind of surprising because the sound is present wether the HVAC is on or off (like completely off). On the contrary, if I turn up the blower to max speed, the sound is still present and unaltered (not any louder, same "tone", etc).
On the other hand, the blower does squeak a little bit when cold, but that goes away very quickly ..... |
