CIC with Combox - playback issue
E92 LCI with combox.
When I stream music over Bluetooth, sometimes the music appears to forward a few seconds by itself. Also if I try to forward or rewind from steering wheel controls through the song (say 20-30 seconds) it just keeps forwarding/rewinding indefinitely. I sometimes hear crackling too but this goes away if I turn my iPhone Bluetooth off and then back on. Faulty combox? Interference? Does it need an update maybe. |

I have this exact same issue the music skips forward then I start to get a cracking noise from the speakers. I then disconnect my Bluetooth and reconnect and all seems to be fine.
Interested in hearing a solutions for this |

Updated the Bluetooth firmware to the latest version available for your car?
There is a website where you enter your VIN and it gives you the file download. |

UPDATE:
Bluetooth software version updated on the CIC a week ago. Since then no playback issues or crackling. I’ll post in the thread if it does happen. Regarding the other issue when I forward or rewind myself, it seems that issue is isolated to Spotify over Bluetooth as when I do it using the standard iPhone music app or playback over USB there is no issue |

There is nothing wrong with the combox. I had the same issues and resolved it by updating the CIC unit to V41 and enabling 6NR bmw apps. After that I just updated the apps list and then resolved.

Thanks for letting me know. Did you update yourself via icom or pay someone to do it?
