Seats for e92?
Hey all,
I just recently bought an e92 bmw (2008 328xi) and the seller had replaced the driver and passenger’s seats, but I guess they didn’t have the seatbelt buckle for the drivers side? As there is no buckle to buckle it into, as you can imagine this is a huge inconvenience and I’m wondering a few things #1 can I buy and replace the belt buckle? #2 if not where’s a good place to buy seats (don’t have to be oem) for relatively cheap and #3 would it be worth it to buy seats from a wrecked e90 model on Facebook market place, eBay, etc? |

Sounds like your tensioner is missing (the buckle part). The tensioners go off when airbags deploy and need to replaced.
I bought my sport seats for my e92 from a salvage yard (car-part.com) and the tensioners were blown. Pick one up on eBay

and as ptpending pointed out, you'll need the bolt that attaches the tensioner to the seat.
Fillister-head screw M10X22 part no: 07146960536 If you don't get it from the salvage yard, you can just order it: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...22-07146960536

I like and use Bimmerlink/Bimmercode (even though I have a Foxwell) and it can reset the airbag fault plus has the coding benefits. As you get familiar with your ultimate driving machine, you might want a tool like this in your tool arsenal
