e92 335xi catless dps installation

i recently ordered VRSF catless dps and i’m quite eager to install them, but the obvious problem is having to drop the subframe, so i figured i’d look for a shop to do it but they said they would charge close to $2300 which i’m not gonna pay if it’s possible for me to do on my own, any tips or tricks on how to make this process easier and is $2300 a reasonable price from the shop?

Try a smaller euro shop. 2300 seems high, 20hrs of labor time? Subframe can be lowered the 2/3" for clearance instead of complete drop. Exhaust bolts are probably gone, had to torch mine.

Did mine on a mid rise scissor lift, about 36" in the air, still sucked but not as much as doing oil pan gasket with seized steering rack bolts. Props to those who do it on jacks stands!
