That would be great but I'm not convinced. Here's one that came through at about 11:35pm Panama time. You be the judge. The paint pattern looks a little different. The one in the lock is lowered due to the water level.

I agree with Rich, two differences I can see.
Canal round windows on deck in front MW those windows look square Canal paint job straight all around MW paint jags up above front windows Hey this is kinda fun, kinda like 'spot the differences' Keep it up! Les

I think this is her. It is 4:12 am at the Gatun Lock. Anyone awake??? Damn, I have no idea how to post pic
Edit: Yep, it was her, she went off camera at about 5:00 am. Same five lines of black n white on the smokestack, same paint job, same number of windows in front, same insignia on the side. Yep, pretty sure it was her. I am going back to sleep now. Les

Good Show Leslie!!!
That should put her at Mira Flores at about noon - but I'll try to catch her first at the bridge. Here is a better map to show where the bridge is. |

Well Thank you fthrower. Sorry about no pic, but my computer abilities fall short. Matter of fact, I am amazed I have been able to do as much as I have so far!
I am planning on shooting my sales guy an email today asking about this viscious rumor about docking at Port of Hueneme on the 18th (oh please, oh please, oh please....). Knowing Frank, he will probably call me back and ask ME, what info I have. He is somewhat clueless about this whole process. If you get a glimpse of the MW please post, the last post you made was perfect. Thanks fthrower for the effort. Leslie PS At the bridge, are we travelling toward the top of the pic, or going toward the bottom? (No sense of direction, remember?)

Glad to have you here Eluder! I haven't seen her go under the bridge yet, but I have both pics up just in case I missed it. Hope you can post pics!

Yep, I'm watching CB and the hi-res MF locks.
On the hi-res MF lock pic, you can see the CB in the distance on the top right, that's where it'll be coming from, and the CB cam should give us a warning. |

Good observation - I hadn't noticed that. Keep in mind that the MW still has to go through the Pedro Miguel locks after the bridge and before the last set of locks, so it still could be awhile between the two web cams. Conversely, knowing that and the fact that the lower time for going through the canal is 8 hours, the MW could be showing up at the bridge relatively soon. That's probably about as clear as mud.

You guys obviously aren't using fog inhibiting software. It was the Maersk Wind. Seriously though, this is kinda fun. I can't figure out why not much is happening at the MiraFlores locks. I can't imagine a little weather bothering those macho dock workers. I haven't seen any with poke-a-dot umbrellas or anything.

Now How Can You Know That???? All I can see on my little window are varying shades of fog! It seems yesterday, when they had a bit of a downpour, around the same time of day, there was little activity going on. Maybe the weather has something to do with it, or it could be siesta time (I think I read that south america shuts down for a couple of hours every day after lunch).
It is just too funny, everytime I open the CB window, I laugh all over again! Les

It's post siesta apparently. Unfortunately, I have to go to the salt mines. I will be anxious to check everyone's notes late tonight. Have fun. Greg
