Looking for confirmation that this is bad turbo seals (vid inside)

Prior to purchasing all this new turbo replacement stuff, just trying to get confirmation that this is indeed the seal(s) going. If you can't make out the smoke, it's oil burning at idle and creates a decent size cloud. When I blip the throttle a larger plume with blow out and sometimes temporarlily stop for a brief moment.

It seems like reasonable amount of smoke judging by the freezing weather and you running catless DPs.
Is it smoking heavily when you drive?

Take off the DPs and see if they're wet - most likely rear turbo seal

Still got snow in Cleveland???

Yes most likely turbo seals are out. Instead of buying 2 new turbos, you could just remove your DPs and see which one is leaking oil, then buy a rebuild kit, a set of gaskets for that turbo and rebuild the turbo... Save $$

TD03 rebuild kit: $35 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Volvo-S80-T6...-/261436606146

Set of gaskets/o-rings for 1 turbo replacement from ECS tuning: $90

Oil + oil filter: $50

Coolant: $30

A $200 to repair if you can DIY... Or a $4000 repair depending on which route you take.

Looks a lot different than mine did when my seals went. I recommend doing what others have said: remove downpipes and visually inspect for oil and for play in the wastegates.

True...

Or he could buy mine. I have a used turbo with 100k miles on it. No play in the shaft, doesn't leak. It It just has a wastegate stuck. If the wastegate on his turbo is fine, he could swap my turbo on his wastegate/exhaust manifold assembly. Really easy to do. Not sure OP wants a 100k mile turbo on his car though...

Yeah there was snow, video is about a week or two old, weather has much improved. But who knows, it could snow tomorrow and be 80 the next. It was warm that day so it wasn't condensation smoke (plus it was driven a half hour prior coming home from work). After watching a few videos on youtube it most likely looks like its the seals. The rebuild kit isn't a bad idea, but I'm rather going to purchase two used units with 29k ($400) and maybe rebuild the old ones.
