Will this be Buffalo's year to *finally* get that Superbowl monkey off their backs? I'd really like to see it happen while Marv Levy and Jim Kelly are still alive.....

Better hope all that money for an average QB pays off.

I'm not too worried if he's 100% but that's a big if. They sure paid him as if he was.

Honestly, I would have been fine trading Dak and Zeke away for a boatload of pics and surround the new talent with a couple of free agent vets who can inspire the locker room and see where it would have taken us.

But - of course - I must not have heard my phone ring when they called me for my input...

I felt the same way for Saquan Barkley. Overrated and always hurt and he’ll want a mega deal very soon. Evan Engram is another one who drops more passes than OBJ. Giants will find out if Danny Dimes is either Eli Manning or Dave Brown. Plus they overpaid everyone during the signings so it might be a long year at the Meadowlands.

It’ll take several first rounders, 2nd/3rd rounders plus:

Doug Williams
Clinton Portis
Gus Frerotte
Landon Collins
Santana Moss
Russell Westbrook
Gilbert Arenas

Let's throw Dana Stubblefield in there and see if they bite.

Even though the front office said that they won’t trade Rodgers, let’s see if he’ll walk the walk and either hold out or threaten to retire. At that point they’ll have to trade him for value and even if they did, they wouldn’t trade him within the conference. I see Denver or the Raiders as possible landing spots.

I think Rogers may be pissed off enough at this point to do just that.
& good on him if he does.
I've been a disappointed pack fan for a long time... year after year they squander one of the best QB talents in the league.

He should have another ring to his collection at least and the front office as you’ve said has screwed him over and over again. He needs to stick to his guns and hold out. Love isn’t ready and not sure if it’s true but reports were that he (Love) didn’t look at all polished during practice/preseason workouts.

Therefore, they’ll have no choice to trade for a QB. Thus Bridgewater would be a better option than Love, or do you want Carr?

Don’t want either, AR12 is the only one that makes the Packers a legitimate contender.

Love looked average at best in practice all year. They weren’t even confident enough to dress him as the backup in any games last season.

I’ve been a Packers fan for a long time and lived through the crap teams before Favre. I loved the way Favre played the game, linebacker mentality, loved every minute on the field, and was pissed with the drama at the end of his career.

However after seeing a HOF QB that threw fast balls that broke receivers fingers in practice, but also broke your heart with stupid throws...they have wasted one of the most talented QBs of all time, and I can understand why Rodgers is frustrated with the organization. His is a generational talent, his stats are crazy and he deserves better.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

This may have been a COVID protocol thing, keeping the #2 isolated from the regulars so they didn't wind up like the Broncos having to start a non-QB in that one game because their entire QB pool was out with failed tests or in quarantine protocol.....

You’re missing the point, he wasn’t even #2 on the depth chart.

I wonder if they would even attempt to trade Love and try to sign/trade for a top quality receiver, would that make Rodgers change his mind? What if Rodgers said:

I’ll stay but get that noob outta here. Then I’ll sign a long term deal.

If Rodgers demands that, they’ll have to comply. But what would they get back for Love? 3rd rounder if that?

Back on topic regarding the NFC Least:

Washington should have gotten a top QB. Ryan FitzMagic reminds me of Tony Romo. Good to great Sept/Oct stats but fizzles out when it matters the most in December and January. I say they don’t make the playoffs.

Eagles should consider bringing Foles back. I don’t believe Jalen Hurts is the answer and neither is Foles, however, in his two bullpen relief appearances, he has won a Super Bowl and should have gotten back the following year. However, in the weakest division in football, they have a shot.

Cowboys-I hate them but want a leveled playing field so I hope Dak is fully recovered. If I were a fan I would be worried about Ezekiel Elliot as his production has declined from his fabulous rookie year. Defense has improved so they should be much better if Dak is healthy. Still, Dak isn’t an all world QB but in this division, it should get them in the playoffs.

Giants should trade Barkley and that bum Engram. Overrated butterfinger TE. This is Daniel Jones’ make or break year as with all the FA’s and a good draft, this team will go as far as Jones. Because if he plays like Dave Brown did on the mid 90’s, I’ll be looking for the Giants to have two of the top 5 picks in next years draft. I’ll be rooting for every team that plays the Bears as the Giants own their 2022 first rounder.

I don’t know that they’d even get a 3rd.

I was puzzled by the pick last year...he wasn’t projected to be a first rounder, let alone someone you trade up for to get in the first round.

I don’t think Rodgers is that worried about Love, more pissed about the team management.

I think they actually picked well this year and addresses some of their gaps.

If DBak was playing in the NFCC game last year I think it would have been a different result.

Picking Love will go down as one of the most disastrous picks they ever made. But everyone forgets that the previous year was not a good one for Rodgers. His accuracy was way off, and his attitude was just so bitchy. Not too surprised the organization thought they had to cover their ass by picking a QB. But Love sure seems like the wrong guy. Most said a 2nd round project at best. So Rodgers turns his career around last year with 1 GREAT WR, good TE, very good RBs, and one of the best O lines in the game. LaFluer's offense is perfect for him. Read the D, hand off or quick throw. Highest scoring team in the league? And Rodgers is having fun again...loves his team, loves his teammates, and a few months later he will never play for these guys again? Weird.

My thought is they insulted him on a restructuring offer...there was an opportunity to convert some money but they didn’t do it, which would have freed up more cap space. They could have extended and paid him more with the same or less cap hit depending on the structure.

Instead we’re in this situation
