Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I've got a tricky one here... Original black plastic cap says ATF only, which is covered by Green Sticker that says "CHF 11S" only. BUT, current ps fluid from reservoir is reddish, which looks like ATF.
2007 335i has 67k on it... Should I go ATF or CHF 11S? |

CHF11S is the correct fluid, so if you are flushing the system entirely, might as well use it. |

That was exactly my logic too -- flush the system, and switch over to CHF 11S. Thanks for the reply!

Seems like original factory ATF. The reservoir cap is leaking, steering is noisy (only when cold). My plan is to do complete drain, replace reservoir and use CHF11S. Any reason why not to change fluid type (from ATF to CHF11S) ? E91 (N52K) & E70 (M57Y) came CHF11S, no leaks. I replaced fluid and reservoirs last year. |
