Was this a state vehicle inspection report? P1727 is not a vehicle specific code from the fault memory, so it generally means and at some point there was a fault with the transmission. Without a specific BMW code, it's hard to tellX. From the tone of your question, you are not a DIYer, so I would recommend taking it to a reputable independent shop to clear the fault and see if it re-occurs. They would also be able to tell you the specific fault and IF a repair is required.

yeah it was i just had the timing belt replaced it was down for half a year i had some body work done after a fender bender and my uncle told me that the belt got pushed against something and cause it to scrape the belt. doesn't make sense though cause i only didn't use it cause i had to change the radiator and didn't have the money. i have no idea why all these problems keep popping up now. it's still running rough and the car has so much sentimental value to it 🤕

Your English is tough to read. The engine does not have a timing belt. You mean the accessory-drive "serpentine" belt. Not sure what damage the accident caused, but if the car sat for 6 months it need exercise. Get fresh gasoline in it and drive it for a few weeks on long drives of over an hour at highway speed.

If the only fault is OBD ready-ness, that 'should' mean that it the car only needs a few hundred miles and 2 or 3 drive cycles for the on board diagnostic system to have time to run all of it's self-checks.
