#ProjectPurple

Just had my 330D vinyl wrapped in 3M Matte Purple. I believe its the only matte purple BMW in the UK at the moment. Sorry for the state of the wheels I have some new ones coming very soon!

How it started out life

You need some serious wheels and balls of steel to pull off that colour, VERY bold!
Looking forward to seeing how this pans out, done right this could look sick

i like this colour! i wanted to get it but my dad said i'd look gay LOL... buttt, i dont think the body is aggressive enough for a matte colour! maybe woulda looked better in gloss, but that just my 2p looking forward to the rest of the car...

Definitely a brave move, but I think it could work well. Car needs to be more aggressive but easily achieved with some decent wheels and a drop.

I do like the gloss black accents though, maybe get black wheels, carbon lip or something and it will look sweet!

I'd be looking at something like these for wheels

Nice mate, like the colour. Crying out for wheels, I know you said they're on the way. Definitely got to be black imo.

these are the ones I was looking at!

Went through all the different colours I could have had but wanted something a little different and something to stand out as it's also going to be a demo car. Also the problem for me with the gloss it it's generally not as good looking as paint can be. I was thinking about having the black gloss parts matte black but then I thought it would be too matte and wouldn't stand out as much.

I also think that it needs to be more aggressive currently looking at about a 20mm drop and some nice big black gloss wheels.

Coming up would also be an Msport rear bumper and diffuser which will be purple bumper and black gloss diffuser. And then onto twin pipes,

It all costs money though and I am just trying to do it bit by bit. would like nothing more than have 2K in the bank to finish it off. Cheers for the feedback, I am hoping to have it finished by the end of the year.

Well you can certainly claim mission accomplished there.

I don't like it BUT it's your car and your taste is different to mine and I am sure when you have finished doing it with new wheels etc, when it is stood in the middle of a field at a custom car show it will look fantastic.

But I still wouldn't do it

I don't doubt that at all, and it will no doubt remain unique to the UK and very probably the world!

All I can say is well done for standing out from the crowd

I think you should have picked a E92-E93 for your project.

Look forward to seeing it coming together

I love the colour purple, but this doesn't work at all, needs the M Sport kit, big drop and aggressive wheels to even have a chance of pulling it off. Not sure if the Saloon was the right base either.
