What a nice Christmas present for someone serving his country in the military abroad. NOT. I think that the place to start with the payment credit would be with the overseas military sales broker. I'm not sure what sort of proof of payment you have, or where you have it, but fax machines and e-mail should be a help in sorting this mess out. Good luck with it!

What? Go Figure.
Today, BMW tells me they have not received the $50,000 from the overseas military sales broker.
WHAT?

Need advice.
Wow, I would call BMWNA and find out what the deal is. Thanks for serving our country, hope things work out!

Mine was extra funny in a twisted kind of way... I was reading his post and was on the phone with my CA. About which time I freaked out and said WTF, I'm in Tampa and you're telling me MONDAY !!! Then I read the bottom line which I didn't share with my CA. I felt like an idiot... you got me. I'm still pissed about Monday "at the latest" why is Waggoners not bringing my car?

I know I feel so abused (normally I love that feeling)... besides I've been questioning the wisdom of buying Barbera Red over the Monaco Blue... Seems the Red just isn't popular.

Anyone getting a 6spd manual 335i?

155 miles so far. I'm totally loving every minute of it! One interesting experience -- I'm having a little difficulty getting a feel for shifting smoothly from 1 to 2. I've been driving sticks for a long while, so experience certainly isn't the case.

Doing a little research on this forum, I stumbled into the CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) issue which is apparently the culprit. (Interesting read here: http://www.zeckhausen.com/CDV.htm)

Once you guys get your cars (if you haven't already), let me know what you think about the 1-2 shift action.

Heli411,

The red is a beautiful car. Don't feel you have to change your mind based on popularity, real or perceived. If you plan on trading it in within 2-3 years, it may make more sense to pick a more common color, but if you are to keep it for any length of time.......

You picked your color because YOU like it. That is what is most important.

Best of luck to you.

Rasmussen in Portland has an E93 demo in Barbera Red. It's a drop-dead gorgeous car. I would have picked that color except for the chore of keeping it clean in a rainy climate.

I picked the Monaco Blue and love it. But, you shouldn't second guess your original choice. Waiting this long plays tricks on you. I second guessed Monaco Blue and kept wondering if I should've went for Sparkling Graphite or Space Grey.

I'd stick with whatever your initial instinct was at the time. My neighbor has a barbera red 328 sedan and it looks really nice, if not unique.

Just my 2 pesos.

hey guys,
my car finished production of Dec. 7th, I am eager to know when it will set sail. Do u guys know how many days after production ur car set sail on the ship? I cannot wait any longer, and its probably going to be another 2 weeks after it gets to Halifax. So if u could tell me how long it took for ur car to leave the port on Germany after the Production date, I would greatly appreciate it.
I just want estmates not exact days if u don't know.
thanx alot

Hi OverDrive,

My production was complete on 11/23 and made it on the boat by 11/26. I've heard of some people waiting up to 12-14 days to make it from production completion to getting loaded on the boat (this seems to be longer than average, though.)

I'm not sure if regional/dealership allotment #s have anything to do with whether a car is given for load booking, but in general, you're looking at about 3-7 days on general.

Your CA is probably the best bet for the most accurate projection since they've been through the process a number of times. My CA was actually only 4 days off his initial projection.

Good luck!

Well, since I'm in the same predicament as the other Floridians... I'm basically toying with my emotions, too.

No hard feelings guys... I'm hoping for a Saturday delivery myself. If not, it will have to be when I return.
