How the dealer can code pretty much whatever you want! I thought to get DRL's and fob coding and stuff was done with a third party. I'm pretty excited now! Just pay the hook up fee and bring them a list of what you want

Coding the car, as in getting settings that are not stock, or are not available without being turned on by the appropriate tools. My understanding is the dealers do NOT like this, yet mine brought it up to me.

I'm still lost. Most of the stuff I'm guessing you're talking about can be done by the OBC through the signal stalk.

on my car 06 330i, the car never came with auto locking doors once you start to drive, so that is being added in. I am having done;
-angel eyes as my daytime running lights -the auto door lock -digital speed -code the angel eyes to Euro spec, which means no amber sides on -fob open front windows and sunroof only I hope that clears it up. I always thought dealers were against coding like this, so I was shocked when mine said they'd let me do it.

For 2006, the 330I did not come with the auto locking door feature and a few others that they added in the 2007+ models. Hope that helps!

My 2000 323i had that feature.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
