It would be best to wait a few months until the cold weather returns. Turbo engines produce more power with the cold dense air and therefore, perform heaps better. The differences in times between air temperatures 25 deg and 12 deg could be as much as 0.5 sec over 400m. I prefer to go the Wednesday night Test N Tunes. Let me know when you plan to go out and I will go out also.

You could be correct but I thought it was fairly reasonable as I have a standard exhaust beyond the downpipes and run only on BP Ultimate 98 ( no E85 or meth). That is approx. 530hp at the engine which isn't to shabby. Certainly, E85 would increase the output into the low 300rwkw but I like driving my car to places like Phillip Island for the BMW Nationals last year. It makes it difficult to do that on mixtures of E85. The tune was carried out by Bayside Performance Services on their Dyno Dynamics.

It obviously had a few mods to get that time. I know Bayside Performance Services had a C63 on their website about 18mths ago which they claimed was the fastest around at the time. It was pulling 11.9sec over 400m. I think it was white in colour.

Do any of you guys feel the car is slow ?? I dont see what the fuss is about. n54 with JB4+FBO can beat a m3... really ? im almost FBO with my car and i feel i cant even beat a xr6 turbo or evo. i ran my mate rolling start in an evo6 (basically stock?) and he kept up pretty well. I think my 220rwkw silvia was heaps more fun/responsive/quicker than my current ride.

Normally if any maps are going too slow you'd get an error code because something isn't doing as it's supposed to. Edit: I just read you're on map 2, do you have any downpipes?? Map 2 can be slower than map 1 if your car isn't ready for map 2. The engine will pull timing and cut boost if the situation doesn't allow for it, so map 1 might be better. |

With the 1er, I think I get a lot of disrespect on the roads since it is extremely common for either a golf or 86 to rev at me and try to race!
Have not lost to either so far however it is great when you see their faces afterwards! Regarding aussie cars, also never lost to a commowhore (generally not highly modified though).. even had a guy ask me if it was my daddy's car and then I smoked him and you could him them all yell out 'whoah' in the background LOL |

You should get a dash cam and mount it out your rear window. You could start a video series. |

2A87: EXH VANOS MECHANISM 3100: Boost-pressure control, deactivation – boost-pressure buildup prohibited (N54 only) I might need to have out and either clean my vanos or replace. Seems ok now though Not too keen to try map 5 yet until I get a cp. I've read and been told by a workshop in Melbourne map 5 can be unstable so be careful using, so I probe need to log to be on the safe side |

think a lot of people know the 135/335i but don't fully understand what a tuned 135/335i becomes. but it's few and far between as oils rarely at temp. had a supercharged holden behind me last night that sounded good but i was cold so didn't even glance his way. |
