I fitted a pair of these today. I took the bumper off as its pretty easy to do without taking my wheels off. Slightly more difficult with 19's though.

Once off it was an easy job. Will dismantle my BMW ones tomorrow and give them a good clean.

Yes fit perfectly and work perfectly. You have to remember the headlight washers don't come out to play everytime you wash the windscreen.

Well strangely the previous owner must have had one of them replaced as one of mine was made in 2011 and the other one is 2006. Strangely the later one looks like a worse design as it has a removable cap on.

I think the dirt and gunk gathers around the body coloured cap and when they come out it falls onto the shaft which then gets pushed back into the body. Utter poop design from start to finish to me!

So life has got in the way.
Ordered two of the cheap replacements. Plan is swap them out, strip and clean the originals as spares if there serviceable.

I've had mine coded out to stop them working altogether. They're a complete waste of time in my view. All they do is coat the front of the car with washer fluid...and has already been said, they're also unreliable.

I originally coded mine out but then discovered washer fluid was leaking from them.

Bought a cheap one for less than a tenner, about an hour to fit and all sorted now.

+1

I did this as soon as I was able to, I can't explain how much it annoyed me when I had just cleaned the car to have these things blast the entire car with washer fluid.... Plus one of them wouldn't go back down fully so I coded them out.

If you just give the washers little squirts the headlight washers tend not to go off.

well i thought i better update this, looked at the fuse and its the same one for the windscreen washer i believe on mine? so not an option.

i had it in my head i'd pinched a line putting the bumper back on ages ago so i removed the bumper and all was fine.

i set about removing my headlight washers which is super easy with the bumper off, but if i did it again i'd go in via the wheel well as its a faff lining the bumper up after.

put in my cheap chinese copies which look identical in every way and 6th of the cost.

bumper back on and they work lovely!

tried to take apart my old ones and they broke being separated, maybe the age or the cold... once apart, one had old grease in it and the other was a bit slimey, so could have been dirt or the spring aging.
