I know this is an older post. But thought I'd chime in if it helps. I just pulled a set of M-Sports from a 2008 e90. They had D4.

From a slightly different perspective, I have just gone down the Eibach B12 pro kit pathway. This uses the Eibach spring and Bilstein B8 damper. I had a 3 series before but these have gone on my A4 3ltr Quattro. Went this way because I don't track the car and the drop height is a little conservative. Looks great. Have 19" rotors that now fill the wheel arches perfectly. Ride is very planted with no squat or nose dive and very progressive into corners. All in all very impressed. Dealed directly with Eibach in Warriewood, Sydney. Guys name was John, very helpful.

Not so.

Koni FSDs and Eibach Prokit springs can be paired and are sold/marketed together by Koni because the Eibach springs aren't much different than the E9X sport springs. However, anything lower than the Eibach Prokit springs would require the use of the Koni Yellows.

Installed the FSDs w/my OEM sport springs about 6 months ago. They're fine but the front suspension needs more stiffening which the shocks have nothing to do with. So, I'm may install an M3 28 mm swaybar w/M3 control arms and Eibach springs all around in the future.

My 335i came with the sports suspension but I can't work out if it's worth going the eibach for such a small drop. Shame the hr springs compromise ride quality so much.

All I can say is my Sport to Eibach pro conversion is very noticeable in looks and driving feel. Best and first thing to do in my opinion.

sports are nice too but Eibach will tuck it down. I get asked often what I did

(Still on Sports in prof pic btw)

isn't there 2 types of Eibach springs? one that's just a tiny tiny bit lower than M Sport and one that is quite a lot lower but not as much as HR Race springs?

That is correct. I used the Eibach Pro.

The "Pro" version is the milder drop and they are black/Graphite in color.
The "Race" version are red and more similar the H&R springs.

I can say that Sport springs are between 10-15mm lower than stock depending on where you read. And the Pro's will drop another 15-20mm+. (30mm overall drop from a stock spring claimed.)

The big thing to consider is the front drop difference between H&R & Eibach. I wanted to balance the car more fr and rear. Neither kit drops front & rear the same so some is preference.

Just one question: an Australian advertiser on eBay has suggested that springs for Australian-spec cars are different to US-spec or European-spec cars in order to justify paying a higher price and ordering locally.

I wasn't aware BMW spec'd their cars differently for different markets.

Myth busted?
I think this is myth. The easiest way to tell is to check on Eibach's fitment catalogue for part numbers. If that is no help, try checking RealOEM.com for spring part numbers.

I wouldn't bother though - I've ordered shocks/springs from the US for my e36 and e46 in past years and they both fit perfect and cost about half the price of local shops.

Australia usually gets the 'European' spec BMW's - just that US has some different regulations and so often global car manufacturers have to adjust some things to US spec.

Agreed. The drop is undeniable even from
Sports to Pro. And don't worry about MM or inch claims because each car is different. In my case I saw additional drop. Guys 30mm is huge unless you're trying to get serious about geometry/plates/vin diesel etc.

I have the Eibach Pro YYB springs installed on my car. There are equal gaps front and back of 30mm between the top of tyre and lip of guard.

Yeah i'm on H&R Sport here as well, paired with M-Sport shocks. Can definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get lowered springs, car definitely handles better but it drops the front a fair bit so scraping might be an issue if you live around a lot of speed bumps.

Socket, do you have an uneven drop? My driver side sits a little bit lower than the passenger side, but only by a few mm...

Yep, but a few mm +/- is in spec (see target values below)
Found this on the net

Also I read somewhere that E90s are set up as stock to have a slight positive corner adjustment
I cant remember where I read that so it may not be true.... Someone smarter than me will be able to confirm
