Ugh, I wouldn't waste my money on ZR4's, they are on the bottom as far as performance. I see Laser Interceptors for sale here all the time which are consistently the top performers.

Thanks for the advice! So many different options thought it would be good to stay with one brand

I cannot comment on whats a top performer or not as I've only had the experience of my ZR4, but its saved me multiple times and I've never gotten ticket via Laser Gun since I've owned it.

I am biased though because I'm selling mine right now. If you're interested in it OP please PM me. I do not have an 9500xi for sale however as I've just used it with my 8500 x50 in the past with results I'm very happy with. (My 8500 x50 isn't for sale -not that you were asking just clarifying)

Yeah LI makes a BMW edition that fit with our vertically slatted grill.

This guy has the right idea, besides the 9500xi is just a 8500 with GPS. Personally I would get a Redline (I just upgraded my 8500 to a RL) you get alot better range and no GPS mumbo jumbo.

For GPS you can use a program called Waze (android has it) which is almost the same as escort live.

Agree completely.. between the laser jammer, 8500 xi (I've had it for years its done the job reliably and haven't had the need to upgrade it), and Waze. I figure I'm about as protected as protected can get. Again, knock on wood... its done its job. but Nothing is 100% fool proof... I've had no complaints and have been happy with it.

PS: you may be wondering why I'm selling it if its so good... answer is I have two... I one for my car and one for my fiance's --- I only really have the need for one since I only use one of the two cars for highway driving to work daily and would rather use the cash in towards other things since I'm in the process of moving into a new home.

I've got a Red 8500 x50 for my e90, and I bought a blue 8500 x50 for her genesis coupe with a 2nd Zr4... selling her Zr4 but keeping one of the Zr4 and keeping both 8500s. I feel naked without at least the radar detector as I've had and become accustom to having it for going on 8 years now.

Check this sh!t out, the latest test shows the 8500 X50 Black beating the redline and 9500ix on k and ka bands:

Interesting... though not surprising... usually when they throw gimmicky crap on board of a solidly reliable peice of equipment the precision and accuracy just goes down hill... One device can only be asked to do so many things IMO.

Pretty sure that was before a major firmware update on the redline that introduce band segmenting for Ka (ability to turn of non essential Ka bands) and a few other optimizations.

Yeah, I was researching that and I don't think any of the redlines had band segmentation but my real point was that an 8500 X50 is not a 9500ix without GPS. The new Black edition smokes the 9500ix.
