well as you know it's raining/sleeting/snowing outside... with traffic I can't really say how much of a difference yet. I tried to do a few pulls and it definitely feels stronger, but hard to catch traction without running out of room into someone.

I'll be starting a new thread once I can hit some dry roads, post up all the info, the before/after dyno sheets, and a review of the evolve tune and VS motorsports. Going to try to get the dyno scheduled next week.

All I can say now all went well, and I now have an evolved 335d with much thanks to VS Motorsports

Awesome man! Evolve and VS are the best!

I can't wait to get my Evolve CF Airbox installed on my E46 M3 by the boys at VS too.

Definitely not the best day to test out your new power. Keep us posted!

Nice looking forward to your review when it gets dry out. It would snow the day you get your car back

Thanks Alex. Can't wait to see the box, and I know its going to get me itching for one on my own car.

What about the possibility of Swapping ECUs? Maybe keep them rotating?

ECU's are coded to the vehicle, wouldn't work.

Thanks, I was pretty sure of this also, but if one can remap an ECU, why could one not recode it to a new vin?

Actually if you have the right software (GT1) you can code any ECU your car. Might not worth if you plan to pay the dealer or independent shop to do it.

So that was my thought, if ECU can be coded to vehicle, They code you one, send it out, take a deposit on your CC, and you send yours in, get a refund minus cost of the tune.

the problem is that you need ECU installed on your car to be coded. Since it is code with your key.

Paul, without getting into anything you would consider proprietary, could you give us an idea of the engine parameters that your program modifies? I'm thinking along the lines of air/ fuel ratio, boost mapping, ignition timing, even engine cooling (I've read that the DME can control certain aspects of the cooling system, not sure if that's true) - or anything else that I can't bring to mind!

I would be curious hear about this as well. I know from the evo world there were tuners that would prefer to increase boost over ignition timing and vice versa. It would be interesting to know your company's philosophy on making power with these cars. Things like do you alter cam timing, increase frequency of DPF burnoffs to prevent clogging from the added fuel or other things that piggybacks just don't have ability to do?

so far so good, trying to get dyno scheduled this week to see the gains and the change in the power band.

The power band is definitely different though.

I'll see if I can get a open piece of road on the way home and get a video from a lower speed.

Awesome video Concentric190! I'm sure it will continue to get quicker as the car adapts. That looks like a pretty nice 60-130 run too!

Time to hunt some E46 and E90 M3s
