How'd you manage to do that? If you have any pics of the damage post them up

I was been an idiot and put my foot down when I shouldn’t of, pretty much did a 270 degree spin and ended up in a hedge backward, list of damage is
1 passenger side wing 1 bottom arm snapped (so I’m upgrading to m3 arms all round) 2 smashed wheels (so I’m upgrading to style 763s) Rear bumper (upgrading to sport bumper) Exhaust tips are gone (I had a back box delet anyway) I’m changing the track rods to make sure they aren’t bent Passenger side inner wing Drivers side rear inner wing Carbon spoiler is cracked So quite a list but it could of been so much worse, 5meters from where I ended up was a big ass steel sign, luckily no other cars or people were involved and the air bags never went off. Lesson learnt and credit card has taken a hell of a beating (genuine parts are expensive), funnily enough the upside of this (besides the upgrade in parts) is the mrs isn’t taking to me so I’ve got a quiet life and more time to fix my baby! Should be back on the road in a week. I do have pictures but photobucket is crap! |

Get the photobucket hotlink fixer if you use chrome. That way it still shows everything.

No expenses other than fuel for January & a lot of extra interior cleaning product, who'd have thought my little puppy would make such a mess being in the back of the 35i

Not a 335, a 325d but ill share my costs with you for this month...
Total - £2124.36 In addition, I also chose to fit a new battery last month due to the original showing early signs of failure in cold weather - £140 Total inc fuel and insurance etc will be approaching £2.5k this month. Overall, I cant complain. Ive had the car 3.5 years and for the most part its wanted for very little and has been a brilliant motor. When you break the costs down for this month I don't think they are completely unreasonable. Tyres and the service are just general vehicle running costs. The shocks are 80k old now so are a wear and tear item. The glow plug was just a twat, they were last replaced by BMW and I suspect overnighted. The only thing that annoys me failing is the diff, a car that has done 80,000miles shouldn't require a diff rebuild but by all accounts BMW diff's are prone to failure. I was planning on selling the car once repaired but it drives absolutely beautifully again now and I dont see myself parting with it anytime soon. Once the weather starts to warm up I might replace the rear shocks myself just so they're fresh all round. |

March, a set of all weather floor mats £40 & £20 for a front brake caliper lower slider pin. Other than that just fuel.
All seems to be running fine, just a bit of brake judder, which I suspect changing the seized slider pin should cure. Outer edges on the front Michelins are looking a little worn, with around 4mm left across the rest of the tyre. So far they have done 18,215 fairly hard miles , I suspect there's another two or three thousand miles left in them. My previous set of super sports lasted for 21,967 miles. I may try PS4s next. I still haven't gotten around to getting the leaking sump gasket replaced yet

VED - £220
4 x 19” Goodyear Eagles - £542 4 x 19” alloy refurb - £288 And as Chappers, have a slight brake judder at 40-50mph. Not sure what mine my problem is as all bushes are 12 months / 20k miles old, discs in good condition. So will probably pick up a couple of caliper rebuilds kits for when the pads are replaced soon. |

A set of new front caliper sliderpins/bolts at £72, stripped front brakes down cleaned and torqued every thing up, brake judders gone.
Still haven't had the sump gasket replaced yet. £12 for 1 litre of castrol edge 0W30. Last 1 litre top up was 2186 miles ago, oil consumption on mine varies from around 1700 to 3200 miles, depends how I drive it On 108300 miles now, bit of waste gate rattle but still running nicely

Running costs only this month. And £60 to BMW for the Comprehensive warranty. Happy with that.
