My front grille flew right off from wind resistance and damaged my carbon fiber lip... saw black plastic flipping on the side. Thought I blew my tire out
 :Anyone have any recommendations to a nice sturdy grille and so this doesn't happen again?

Interesting....
So I assume the front splitter is not a factory BMW part? Looks like the splitter acted a force on the plastic bumper cover that flexed it in a manner that let the grills pop out of place. A cut tire at 150MPH in a street car, would be a anal-tightening experience that may lead to a sheet metal balling-up event... Maybe ziptie the grills in place when running at the track would prevent such an issue.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Mine did that at 70mph. I gorilla glued my stock grills on until I buy a new bumper with intact grill tabs

Maybe retrofit the m sport front end. I can assure you it will withstand 175+ mph without letting loose.
