I just thought the noise was supposed to be louder with the shade open. I will for sure check this out.

So Im definitely going to do these things but wondering, outside of dynamat is there possibly a better solution for that massive hole? Like a cap or plug? It seems like this is something BMW should have talked about. Would be nice if it was something easily removable.

Im still going to do dynamat ON the surfaces because there is metal that isnt covered by another layer and my experience even having the bitumen padding "deadens" the sound, helps keep it from being transmitted along the metal. Plus might as well cover that metal while its still covered in paint and protected before a big rock gets to do work on it. |
