looking to get an rtd shift kit, but they only make the linkage for an n54/n55 and m3.

I have a 2006 325i 6sp. Anyone know what kind of transmission I have? And what transmission an n54/n55 has?

While I can't answer your question accurately, I'd be stunned if the n54/n55 kit didn't fit. BMW use the same gearbox between petrols and diesels, even!

thanks. i think the n54/n55 transmission is stronger, so therefor must be different no?

Just checked for a 2007 n54 335i e92, it's still the ZF GS6-53BZ transmission. I'm pretty sure you'll find the same one under any manual 6cyl e9x petrol. Ratios may vary, but externally they're identical.

Even the diesels use a GS6-53DZ transmission, which should still take the same shifter...I think.

Feel free to get a second opinion; I could be wrong!
