Advice on good books

Im looking for some input on some good books for me to look into, up until now ive been an athlete and never really got into reading because i hardly ever had time too. Now im a little older(20, 21 in a month) and i just got my first place, downgraded to a nice e46 so i could do that. Money is tight but im not struggling and im at a crossroads in my life because all of this is so new to me. Im looking for some good books to read that can help me with my new journey into the adult world, motivational, inspirational, etc...

I've recommended this in another thread but I would highly recommend "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie. It's one of the best books I've read and it's so relevant today.

Oh another one by Dale Carnegie is "how to stop worrying and start living". Seeing as how you're "enter the adult world" it would see like a good book to read. Be warned though that most of the things in there are not scientific breakthroughs. The book serves as a reminder for things that anyone can do to reduce stress (which in this world of ours is a big problem for many).

Predictably Irrational by Dan Airely is really good. It has to do with behavioral biases and other life influences. Its a pretty cool read.

Avoid existentialism at all costs. But what are you looking for. Self help? Fiction? Anthropological? Interesting badass biographies? I read about a book a week. I am 24 and started my "library when I was 20. I have amassed about 400-500 books in it. Tell me what you are interested in and I will give you titles.

Yeah it's a good book but a little hard to get into. I mean it's not boring, just kinda hard to get into (don't know how to explain it). It took me a long time to finish the book. I just read it bit by bit every day so it took forever to finish it. I will go through it again though.

Looking for something new to read.

In the past couple months i've read Catch 22, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, A Clockwork Orange, Brave New World, On The Road, Lord of the Flies, The Richest Man in Babylon and The Tao of Pooh.

Any new suggestions?
I'm thinking maybe either The Warriors, or East of Eden.

After you read all of the boring 'live your life this way' books above - checkout Enders Game. A bit of a Sci-Fi but not really - I make it a point to read it every year.
