Repair complete!
Solution was to take a Dremel to the OEM BMW fog light connector to make room for the two ground wires.

Much easier to work on the headlight outside of the car, FYI.

Well…

Was in a freak car accident in the E90 this AM (not my fault).
Long story but the 335i is definitely totaled. Performed its final act admirably.

Now the search starts (after getting out of the ER of course)

Totally sucks. But cars are tools and can be replaced, hopefully the humans involved are all going home safe today. Anyone you can walk away from...

Prepping the 3 stage intake manifold in preparation for turning this 328i us spec into a 330 E91 touring. Can't wait! Also installed an Afe intake, post pictures soon. (3 stage locally found for $80, so happy about that)

Got the car up last night on the quick jacks to source a vibration from transmission. Found the bracket that holds the exhaust mid pipe up from the bracket that attaches to the transmission brace was bent to all hell towards the rear making the transmission become unaligned therefore the driveshaft wasn't rotating perfectly balanced. Removed the damaged bracket and it drives so smooth. Waiting for new brackets to come in

Exactly. The lady who hit me had a fractured wrist, but no other injuries. I have a bruise but am otherwise fine - no whiplash even though I was stopped and the lady was going 65-70. Not her fault though, a drugged-out individual left their Jeep on the on ramp, no lights on, at 1AM.

I’ve started the search while I deal with the insurance company - hoping to take advantage of high used car prices right now. Thinking about an LCI 335i coupe…

wow !

What is this shifter knob?

I have the same on my new 335 , and look like ebay cheap, even that on a hard shift it stays in my hand.

Looking to change it for the OEM non-M, even if my e90 is a M, I like the feel on my E91.

Thanks! Shame the car was totaled a day later…

The two ground wires go to the cornering light and the halo, the other green wire goes to the halo light. Looks like the passenger side headlight gets warmer than the drivers side one (closer to the turbos), as my drivers side light was totally fine when I inspected it…

In other news, I’m heading out to look at an E93 soon. Anyone here have experience with the hardtop convertibles? It’s a beautiful spec, 2010 335i, but the hard top makes me wary (at least the N54 is a known quantity…)

I think I'll stick to only torquing things to spec at work and tightening how I feel when working on the car..

Sway bar bushing upper bolt backed out and the lower was on its way, causing a hard to pinpoint squeak over bumps.

The sway bar hit the plastic coolant distribution hose and cracked it.

Also had to redo the torque on the front rearward control arm bolts a while ago as they had backed out too. I'm gonna start using loctite from now on

E92William that happened to me awhile back. Except the sway bar somehow missed the coolant line. The bracket snapped off completely, ran it right over. Embarrassing as I was driving in front of a girl I had just..

Just got the first pics of my 330xi since I last seen it in June. Dusty, and it looks like my brand new headlight needs a reseal. Other than that, very excited to have it back soon

Newish 99k 2010 engine with some rust issues, hopefully won't need new valve seals TBD

Newish 66k 2007 335xi trans

BC coilovers w/ swift springs

Rebuilt original headlights

And tons of other cosmetic changes waiting here at home!

Bracket k is directly attached to the transmission, didn't take angle picture but that bracket is bent backwards now. The longer bracket connects to the mid pipe and supports it. The longer bracket pictured was bent at a 45 and I bent it back before taking photo the night of.

One of my Lux V5 angel eyes burnt out. The passenger side failed after 9 months and was replaced under warranty, the second on the drivers side failed after 3 years.

Lux gave me a deal on 189s so these are them. They are brighter than the V5s but the extra brightness only makes the inner angel eye brighter and not the outer. I'm still running my fog lights as DRL because the angel eyes just look kinda goofy with the uneven brightness. They look great at night with the headlights on though!

I have this same dilemma. I’m not a fan of my 6000k rings because the inners are 1000 times brighter. Contemplating going back to a halogen
