Sanity check in aisle 5 please P15B9/P1517/P152B/P15DB/P1505

So my 2011 335 xDrive threw on a bunch of lights a few days ago (ABS, DTC, 4x4, and engine)

Managed to get INPA to pull the following.

P15B9 - Front/Right Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit - Malfunction or open circuit
P1517 - Rough road detection - wheel speed no signal
P152B - Vehicle Speed - Speed versus reference in coasting implausible
P15DB - Front/Right wheel speed sensor - range or performance problem
P1505 - vehicle speed - implausible

Now, this looks like an easy peasy ABS wheel speed sensor but my mechanic seems to think it's a rusted axle shaft. Based on this I see why -

So I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this?

There is a hack that can buy you some time. Get a new sensor and put a washer under it to move the sensor a tiny bit away from the rusted axle ring. Google it.

Thank you both.

Not sure I have time and inclination to mess with the sensor, especially in this cold weather.
I'll probably just wait until my shop takes the car. Will report back here with the diagnosis and repair.

I got the car back last week.

It was indeed a rusted tone ring. The rust expands slightly, contacting the sensor and wearing away its protective covering, which then exposes the electronics in the sensor to the elements.
Here's a picture. You can see the shiny part where the tone ring was striking the ABS wheel sensor with each revolution.

Total damage was around $CAD 1,200 - $800 in parts and $400 labour.
