I have a 07 335 coupe and I have been wanting white angel eyes instead of the ugly stock yellow color. Well all the after market kits I have been looking at dont look any where near as good as the oem white angel eyes on the 2011 E90s. I went to the dealership yesterday to see if they would sell just the white bulbs to just replace mine with. They found the part number for the 2011 bulb but they couldnt promise me that it was white color. Here is the part number
07 11 9 906 503 . Has anyone looked into this before? Is it just this simple to do to make my lights that amazing white color?

Good question, Ive spent 2 weeks looking for the solution. The Bulb maybe compatible but it may also bring errors on the computer and the wiring harness would be different, it looks a lot brighter so more power, higher watttage. Im not too sure. The next best option is the H8 Lux LEDs without opening your headlight, if you are willing to open them then OSS or Orion 2(ebay). Ill check aboout your question with my sources and let you know.

2011 E90 doesn't have led angel eyes, it's only the coupe and it's not the bulb that is different but the entire headlight so you will not be able to retro fit this setup. As the second poster wrote, your best options are LUX (Led) or Alpine (HID), both are plug and play and very easy to install. If you're willing to open up your headlight and spend $$$ you can go the OSS which will give you the oem E92 look (or better).

Do you want to put bulbs on E92 or E90? ;

E92 = coupe
E90 = Sedan
E93 = Convertible

Also RU...what have you installed? What is the product?
I think the main model asked for support is E92.

Best option is to get an LED xenon white upgrade. It won't match the brightness of the newer models but will at least give you the color output.

thanks guys. I am looking to install them in my e92. Does anyone have good pics of these plug and play kits installed in outside day light. That is my biggest worry. I saw another 11 e92 today and man I could see those bright white lights from like a half mile away.

the newer ones are icey blue, somewhat purpleish but look amazing. i got 5k for my e90 it goes perfect with my headlights when their on, check em out if ud like

iggy, I would suggest trying out H8 Lux V3, they seem like the best solution. I ordered some, am waiting for them, but they seem good. Unfortunately what you want is OSS style, that risks taking your entire headlight appart, its great if you want to screw around with it...but in UK the insurance rules are strict, if they findout I have changed the headlight by opening it, carr warranty is not going to support lighting modules, and insurance is not going to support the car full stop. So I havent tried the OSS but it looks the best option if youre willing to take the risk, otherwise go for Lux V3.

lux, everything else on the market is garbage. if you notice, lux gets vouched without the vendor jumping in and hounding the crap out of the thread.

I don't mean to bash on lux but if you look at the unit....it can be made for alot cheaper.

The only customized thing about it is the delay for the fan. The buck puck (driver) and the LEDs can be had for under $40 per side, minus a heatsink. But heatsinks are pretty cheap, especially if you use an aluminum one.

if you think you can get the product for under $40then your crazy, LOL. Its not just a matter of parts but also custom parts that make it all work together, design time, revisions, etc

I realize r&d costs will drive up the market price....I'm just saying parts alone can be had for around 40 per side.

I have a LCI E90. It currently has the yellow halogen angel eyes. I have tried a couple different bulbs from the internet (eBay) and they do not light up the outer halo.

Can someone suggest a decent plug & play bulb. I personally don't want to spend LUX money, which i'm sure are great but i'm looking for a cheaper alternative if there is one. The pictures above by @RUBMW and @SV Concept III look perfect but the website is american and i am in U.K.

The terminals were too small and required some fiddling to get the factory spades to stay on reliably.
THey haven't failed yet.

If you have an e92 most white led bulbs will give you a good look from a direct front view but no matter what bulb you fit when looking at an angle won't look as good and the outer ring will always be dimmer due to the design of the headlight. A lot of good reviews about lux bulbs but they are expensive and I imagine you will still have the same problem.
I'm really fussy so I ended up fitting some led rings inside the headlight which look like the photo

But it's a lot of work and can be expensive as well.
