This was a really great write-up! Thank you!

No worries, if I got a nickel for everytime I had a brain fart, I would be retired.

But at the same time, generally STIFFENING up the rear would reduce understeer by "reducing grip". Adding grip to the rear would make the understeer worse.

I am 6F/4R but I have non-staggered setup. My car handles ok with staggered..but it does understeer a bunch. I took it on track with my street setup (235F/265R) and could definitely feel the push.

this may change with e.g. hotchkis sways, right? I think they tuned their sways on a staggered setup with Bilsteins.

Geez, am I curious about their first track review...

I still lean heavily towards having a non-staggered setup for longevity.

Another problem with thicker rear bar is that you will exacerbate the wheelspin problem. Even with a Quaife, a 100% difference between traction will cause it to act like an open diff.

You can get the bars for bling, but I seriously doubt it helps your times. Trust me, I paid nearly a grand to install and then remove a stinking thicker swaybar.

Was it too thick with stock sport suspension or TCKline? TCKline has stiffer spring rate than stock sport... Is your car lower or higher now than with stock sport suspension? How much? Thanks

I think slightly thicker rear sway would be ok with stock height & springs.

Too thick with TcKline. For other reasons, I just kept it at max height, so I have no problem. If you "slam" your car, you'll have issues.

I'm about 1/4 - 1/2 in lower than stock, probably.

Even with stock setup, the thicker rear sway caused serious wheelspin issues. I never ran the Tckline with thick rear sway because I ripped it out ASAP.
