Any IC will do. The way to stop this is upgrading ur oil cooler. or stop racing so much

This is the first summer that 15psi tunes are the norm... Even on stock cars. There are going to be a lot of problems like this. Which is why we put everything else on hold until we added oil temp protection to the PROcede. Sorry for the plug but these are just the facts. But after an oil cooler and (preferably a smarter tune), the Helix fmic is a great choice. Regards, shiv |

Look for a heat exchanger in the passenger front fender or oil lines directly ahead of the oil filter housing on the front of the motor.

That isn't a heatsoak problem that is a high temperature problem. He needs an oil cooler for summertime. Your intercooler just helps you not lose boost at high temps.

If your car is a manual you will have one, only the early AT didn't come with one.

How does the JB3 know the engine oil temp which was well beyond typical operating levels? That is the problem in this case. Not intake are temp (which is the only temp the jb3 can see). And intake temp has virtually no direct relationship with oil temp. Shiv |

While I agree the ICs are beneficial, I would not put them in the category as 'physical cooling'. They only accomplish a cooling of the intake charge. Probably won't have much benefit to reducing thermal limits of the factory water cooling.
