Vegas in January?

Guys,

Anyone ever been to Vegas in January?

Thinking of taking the mrs away for 4-5 nights at the Wynn Encore. Is it still quite active at that time of year? Weather any good?

Never been before and some good deals on at the moment. Opinions please.

LV is never what you would call quiet. In January all the pools will be shut and they are a major attraction for some people. If you want to gamble it doesn't matter what time of year you go as the casinos have no windows (or clocks). Most.of them barely have any exits!

Sounds like it's a goer then! Looking to go and enjoy the restaurants, sights, light gambling, shows etc!

Had the best week of my life out there. Did 8 shows in 7 days plus a sky dive and helicopter tour. Loved it. Tempted to go back for NYE.

We went in Jan for my stag do (albeit it a few years ago)

As said above pools etc are closed, but weather is still brilliant -and partying etc abcolutely no difference.

Fantastic place... 4 nights there ruined us - we could hardly talk on the plane on the way home.

That's awesome. Are the skydiving experiences expensive? something I've always wanted to try.

It depends what you class as expensive. It's Vegas and nothing's cheap.

It was $199 from memory. Then $129 I think, for the photos and DVD.

Something to think about in Las Vegas (apart from having a go on an Uzi at one of the shooting ranges) is to take a look down The Strip at night and remember that every light bulb was paid for by a loser.

I go to Vegas every year in January for a show called CES. It's cold at night so make sure you wrap up and the dry cold wind can chap your lips like a goodun.
