30ff only at wot

Was at the strip tonight making some runs. When I first got there I had 30ff pop up. Check some vacuum lines. Found 1 rubber one broke. Did a poor mans repair with some duct tape because that's all I had on me at the moment. Anyways it fixed it. No longer leaking and car ran good all evening. Went to leave the track and now my code is back under heavy acceleration. I checked the same hose and it's still sealed up pretty solid. On my mhd monitor. I'm only getting about 13psi in boost. Was getting 17psi all evening. Anywhere else I should be looking for boost leak?

How old are your vac lines? Sounds like you maybe due for s new set. I'd get 3.5mm platinum cured lines for starters

https://www.verociousmotorsports.com...cuum-Hose-Kits

If that doesn't cure your issues, start with gaskets at the various connection points along the Intake system.

Vacuum lines are factory as far as know but they all seems is pretty good shape. There not hard and brittle. There actually still soft and have a a lot of bend to them

Also how hard is it to replace all the lines on these cars. I may decide to go that route just to do it

The only difficult ones are the ones going to the wastegate actuators, but I have large arms and hands and I was able to do it. Patience, patience, patience.

Usually, not always, when the charge pipe goes...it goes.

There's a trick for the front turbo. You take a small piece of solid, copper wire and insert it into the wastegate nipple & then slide the new vacuum line over the copper wire onto the nipple. Then pull the wire out.

Agreed, large hands & forearms will not help your cause with this DIY.

Lucky for me I got small hands and smaller forearms. It's always made mechanic work pretty easy

The best charge pipe imo, if your are looking to use the OEM style blow off valves, is Cobb. Order it directly from them.

I'll look into it. As for now. I reduced the vacuum hose that was broke. And so far no codes and pulling full boost. Hoping that was my only issue

I believe I finally found my source of leak today. I've been replacing vacuum lines and bought a new Charge pipe. All vacuum lines hold pressure when tested with a mighty vac. I do find that the boost solenoids bleed off slowly. Not sure if this is normal. At 25 hg they bleed off over 45 or so seconds down to 15 and kinds hover but still bleed slow. I test my stock diverted valves with a air compressor and regulator. I hsvnt been able to get over 13psi here lately. With the air compressor set at 20psi you can here the diverted valves blowing air through the tubes. So I pulled it down to 15 still does it. Once I set my regulator under 13 they quit bleeding. So I know for sure stock diverted valves are trash. But still not 100% on the boost solenoids
