Took her out after a 3 hour wash and wax before the storm arrives, plus had been 2 weeks before I washed her last!
I've recently bought LiteRoom 5 for the MacBook for photo editing but haven't yet received that. I'll be practicing there soon as it arrives and be taking more pics soon. Recently invested in a new lens too for my Nikon DSLR, Nikon DX AF-S 35mm 1:1.8G - does wonders! Anyways, excuse the poor quality iPhone pics for now.. I am still very new to the photography world! EDIT: I'm due to change the audio set up over the coming months so watch this space |

Rial Daytonas taken off today and 230s twist alloys slapped on for the winter. Will give them a goo couple layers of coating tomorrow.
Later in the week I'll polish the lips from the Rials and seal them, put winter covers and store them away.... If I feel the polish isn't giving it that shine that I got when I got it back from dips I'll give the wheels to Dips so he can treat them before show season next year Few more things on the way over the next few months.... |

Good stuff man, loving the build, what are you planning to do to it over the winter? I'm just going to be saving up to start modding mine when winter is over lol. Are you going to be running winter tyres on the winter rims?

Over the winter.. Well I have the original wheels and tyres that came when I bought the car so I've put them on and have safely stored away the Rials. I'm not going to be running dedicated winter tyres as such as the ones I have I find is enough and it will hardly get used now, since my new job is London based -daily train commute it is Still going to mod it further :-) So what plans do you have? It can be made to look so mean or so classy, depends what look you're going for? Last edited by AWBimmer; 01-01-2014 at 01:16 PM.. |

Quick update as been a bit quiet as of late... Bought an m5 gear stick and all the wiring from bmminiparts for the retrofit so just need to get round to doing that. That could mean my performance auto gear stick and gaitor could be up for sale shortly.
Also purchased some custom mats for customised piping and logo. Pics when they come though. Audio re-do/re-display, getting my bonnet jazzed up and re polishing of lips will be next and a possible stud conversion. Stay tuned. |

Right... so, had a spare weekend so yesterday sat fro about 2 hours and made the necessary wiring for retrofitting the M5 gear knob... today, besides it chucking it down, I just went and installed it and everything works a treat except... the gear knob isn't illuminating! Foolishly, I haven't made any connections for the lead coming from the gear knob to make it light up..
Either way, I'm not sure I'm that keen on it. Don't get me wrong, it looks fecking cool but I sort of missed my performance gear stick and I'm going to sell the M5 gear stick and the wiring kit, which will be plug and play. On classifieds now. I can also run anybody through on how to install but it takes less than 15m from start to finish. All the hard work is done making the actual wiring. If there's any interest, let me know. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=939329 If anyone wishes to do this... it costs: M5 gear stick - £140 Wiring - £50 approx. Up for grabs Last edited by AWBimmer; 01-26-2014 at 08:40 AM.. |

Well done for trying it man, I really like the M5 one but I'm not too sure it quite suits the E9x interior and looks a little out of place. Maybe it's just me though...
So what else are you planning? Are the Daytonas going back on straight after winter? Edit: just realised I was thinking of the wrong gear knob lol, M5 one suits well enough Last edited by AzRiz; 01-26-2014 at 08:40 AM.. |

It suits it for sure but it's all personal preference. Yes daytona's are going back on around March but I'm going to have the lips re-polished and have gold bolts on them.. give it a different look. Unfortunately there aren't any bolts that fit straight on so I'm going get them each cut to fit - that's about 180 bolts Lol! |

That's good man, gold bolts should look good. What are the specs on them that make them so hard to get? Let me know and I'll ask around for a source. |

Keeping the black bits as standard but going to Repaint the alpine white covers to something unique. Watch this space..... Here are pics of them as they are for now... There goes another big wod of cash.... I hate this forum for the pure fact that soon as I see something I like, that's it I start looking myself lol... And the mods just keeps coming through Need to stop because it's getting silly lol. Next stop.... House purchase lol! |

So guys, today I test fitted my new m3 mirrors and I must say they look the business! I love how aggressive they make the car look! They're electric folding and reverse dipping which is what I currently have so no coding required..
Whilst they're white for the Time being, I just fell in love them I decided to leave them on the car lol ... Pics to follow tomorrow. Lots of updates inbound so stay tuned... |

Ok... Looks like my modding isn'T stopping even though I really need it to lol.
Last week I purchased OEM m3 mirrors which after installing I was in split minds.... I've decided to hold onto them for a bit to see what they look like - also being so rare - electric folding and what not, makes some sense lol. Today I purchased another item, which will be done up before spring time....... This will be one sexy mod so watch this space.... Dips has got his hands full haha. |
