Hey Guys

Got used BMW few weeks back and thought to try some code. This is my first BMW (2012, Series 3, E90). Bought OBDLink MX + and wanted to code mirror tilt and angel light.

But as soon as I clicked Footwell Module I got a message that “Coding this control unit is not possible as critical error has been detected”. Then I used BimmerLink if I could see any error there, but nothing there in BimmerLink. Now I don’t know how to approach this. ( Not very techie to try complicated things)

Some more background:

- Front windows are not going up automatically, so I have to hold them up.
- driver side window comes down after going all the way up.. so I have to keep pulling it up for proper closer of window.
- Have tried window initialisation as mentioned in other threads including 17-20 secs holds but nothing works.

Is there anything I can do to solve these? Any help or experience is appreciated.

If memory serves that's because you have an older FRM module, if you continue to try and code that you run the potential of bricking your ECU.

Can try and get the warranty update from dealership for it if your car qualifies
