I talked to John from Metropolitan Details yesterday. Great guy and very knowledgeble. They will do a great job on any car but do charge a premium for their service (justifiable). It will take a day to tint my car. The shop does have loaner cars for customer. I still don't know if it is worth the 300+ price premium though. decision decision.

Its worth it. Trust me. I had a horrible experience with my car at Accutint. I would of rather paid a bit more for a better installation job.

Don't they redo it if it's bad?

They refused to fix mine (old Bellevue owner). John and Ben are stand up guys, they'll take care of you.

Cost me $150 for a top notch tint (w/ 3M flims) in NYC. Price does seem to be ridiculous around here. Lack of talent maybe. Having a hard time finding one with decent price and good quality films.

So I am looking for a tint and clear bra. For the clear bra, I really don't care what brand 3M, Venture Shield, Stonegard, whatever. I would like the hood, front bumper, side mirrors, door edges, rear top bumper.

Tint..I care more about. Can I find a quality film for tint and clear bra, professional and quality installation for less than $1,000? My last 335 I got it done for $850, but the clear bra install was a little sloppy.

I have some quotes from the major places around town and they are way more than 1K.

How was the install? To your satisfaction? did they tint over the third brake light? Type of film did they us? Would you recommend this place?

Thanks

Called Accutint today and got the Johnny Lin referral special. Good price for great quality service. Only problem is they do not offer 20% tint (on my last two cars). Only offer 15%. Do you all think that will be too dark on a white w/ red interior. thx

Johnny,

Your back windshield and two side back windows are in 15% and your two front side window are 20%, correct? You have any close up pic of your car so I can see the diff?

Thanks

They used to carry 20%. I got the 20% on my previous 330i as well. But somehow, they dont carry any 20% anymore. My 15% is alright, dont think is that bad at all.

Thanks. I'll try to give them a call and hopefully what they quoted were F1, and not some random ones.

Never work with the Shoreline location, but both the Seattle and Shoreline locations are own by the same person. As far as I know, Seattle Accutint has the best tint and clear bra installer. And the owner works at the Seattle location for most time too.

Nice pic...I am going 15% as well on a space grey 335. Not sure if I will go pinnacle or just regular dye tint.

The regular tint will look a lot darker. Thats what I had. No one can see in, but you can see out. Was going to get 50-60% on the front.

It depends on your taste in tint. Personally I like having tint, but I don't like it too dark, I like the visibility and don't want to have to open the windows when backing out at night.

I have 30% Pinnacle f1 ceramic on my white/red and I think it's perfect as far as darkness and visibility.
