Cleaning MAF removed code P1447

My car started to throw code p1447 after a performance track day. I got the code using the Torque app and a bt obdii scanner bought off Amazon. It came time to change out the airfilter so I cleaned the MAF while I was at it and ever since the code has disappeared. It's been two months and the code has not reappeared. I went to scan again but now my obd scanner is kaput.

Thought I'd let everyone know. Give it a try if you have this code.

Take a look here. From various searches it looks like this issue - P1447 Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage (DM-TL) Pump Too High During Switching.

Thanks for the info but I already knew what the code was from my Torque app. I was gearing up to replace that tank or at least take it out and clean it out thoroughly as others suggested. But with replacing the filter and cleaning the MAF, the code has gone away.

it's not a tank you can easily replace. the tank in reference to the code is the gas tank.

it has nothing at all to do with your MAF - maybe the gas cap wasn't screwed on all the way?

anyway it probably didn't hurt anything to clean it, but it was just a coincidence that your code went away. One thing with generic scanners is they don't really tell you the details of what a code is, a BMW specific tool is a lot less confusing. I use Torque all the time and it can't pick up a lot of the codes that are possible.
