Need help trying to find dropped nut
So I'm working on my 2011 335is and I dropped the last nut of the intake manifold, the one all the way near the firewall and I can't find it. I tried looking in all the holes between the manifold passages, randomly sweep my magnetic pickup tool and I just can't find it.
Did anyone else drop it and where did you find it? Also I guess driving with a missing bolt for a few days is also out of the question since it's the intake manifold? I'm about to just pull out the intake manifold at this point. |

It’s possibly somewhere around the starter. Although it might have fallen behind the engine, and if that happened it could be anywhere.

Did your other nut drop and you became a man ?
Kidding, I'm guessing you removed the plastic splash shield correct ? If not gently bang up on it to hear if it's rolling around on that, worth a shot. |

Yeah I did, I think it may have fallen on the transmission belly pan. But I actually forgot this problem, went for a hard drive everything was ok lol. Probably will pick 1 up at the stealership when I have time. |
