So I'm looking to do a little budget audio upgrade for my 2011 E90 with base audio. I already have an amp and harness on the way and am just looking to get some logic 7 speakers to finish it up. I have a few leads on some early year E90s and a couple mid-late year E60s. But I have two questions before I procede.

1. I read that the early years Logic 7 speakers were metal-piston drivers and possibly not as good? I couldn't find anymore information about it except for that one post. Does anyone know how early year Logic 7 speakers compare to later years?

2. I have found a couple of good deals for Logic 7 speakers off of E60s. I believe for the most part, all the speakers should be the exact same except the subwoofer housing being different. So would the quality be the exact same (or better?) and could I just re-use my base audio subwoofer housing or would they not fit?

Ah okay thank you so much. So just to clarify, the speakers are probably the same between the two, but the mounting holes are different sot hey wouldn't be able to fit. That clears up question two. Now I only need to figure out number 1. Thanks again!
