Delrin rear subframe bushes in the UK?
Anyone know where I can get some? Or is it a case of ordering from the US and just paying the shipping and import?

I guess that's a 'no' then....? Bummer. I was hoping someone would know.
I found a UK source for solid aluminum bushes, but not solid delrin. I think I'd prefer the delrin, since they're a lot easier to install, and maybe a tiny tiny bit more compliant in use. Maybe I should have asked; if anyone in the UK has solid delrin bushes, where did you get them? |

Are they going to be noisy? Wonder if it’s worth asking a few smaller engineering companies if they can turn some up on a lathe? Guess it knowing the measurements though is the tricky bit

There certainly will be some increase in noise and harshness, but I'm not on runflats and don't mind a bit more noise than standard. Some say there's nothing noticeable, others say they wish they'd gone with M3 bushes.
I can make the parts myself - I just need the dimensions. I can get the dimensions myself, but I'd really like to have the bushes made and ready to fit, rather than the car sitting in pieces while I faff with a lathe...and I'd not be entirely sure about the fit that's required between the subframe and bushes. But I think that might be what I'll end up doing. |
