Lol wow dude... don't you hate that!
I just cruised around with the new COBB V2 throttle map. Under 4K it has no power, and is tricky to accelerate without going WOT and doing a 360 lol BUT, that zone is perfect for maximum gas mileage and daily commuting, NOW If you do need more throttle response or power just pop it into DS mode! Even in DS mode it got better gas mileage then D mode on the standard map, car is instantly completely transformed. More turbo spool, much more power, super responsive!

Then you just go WOT if you need balls to the walls power!
Also a way to drive your car super easy, just like it were stock on a regular basis, but still have the ability to just floor it and blow the doors off any cars that want to race for a split second while still being easy on your engine without an FMIC. Definitely a great way to go.

I'm back on Map 2 JB4 again .. Terry told me to do some logging, and he says they are clean so far, so said to stick with it for now. Car feels very strong right now. Might order meth-kit & DCI this weekend .. I'm addicted man

I had a Jeep SRT8 that went all road-rage with me yesterday .. I pulled a few buses on him from a stop light, I slowed down, then he tailgated me onto an on-ramp -- attemped to swing around me at the bottom, so I dropped to 3rd, went WOT .. and put more buses on him .. LOL .. you should have seen it!

I don't think they had much time to move out of the way

And this was outside the city, so it's like a wall of bugs in the Summer... just thought it's way too early, it's normally mid-late June my bumper starts looking like that

Despite the horrible job my dealership did mounting my summers (they scratched my wheels .. again), I am SO happy they are back on.. handling is transformed so much, I forgot how good it was pre-Winter. I will never say a bad word about the stock RFTs again.

Due to supply problems with the wheels I wanted, I've decided to burn through my stock run flats this season, throw on some spacers for a more aggressive stance, and spend some of the money on engine mods instead.

Ordering a Coolingmist VC2 + DCI tomorrow .. if I can get near 400rwhp (450+ crank) before the end of the summer, I'll be over the moon. In a stock-looking car too .. might give a few Infiniti/Lexus owners heart-attacks.. LOL.

335xi did 13.50 secs in 1/4 at Calgary City Race

13.50 @ 102.52 mph.

It is stock car with ECU reflashed only. (it has open coned filters: INJEN but I really don't count it as modded)

That is pretty good time for our altitude. 3961 ft of altitude. DA calculator at sea level says it is equiv to 12.845 secs!
Taken on Friday 13th at 8pm.

Also there was a blue 335i coupe and made 14.60 sec @ 100.16

Any mods? (car doesn't look stock! lol) Trap speed is very low if it is modded.

What did the blue 335i trap?

18" 189s .. I actually quite like them.

Shame they are so narrow.. but the tires work well enough (better than most people think!), and the 255's are not much skinnier than what people are putting on aftermarket 9.5" wheels.

My fav BMW wheels for our cars are black 199. My car originally had them on in the showroom at the BMW dealership, but I told them to remove them to save a few thousand $ .. now I wish I kept them on

That is the only remorse I had about buying my car .. not keeping those wheels

I think I could still get them from Tischer, but they are about $3,600 + shipping .. don't really have that kind of cash lying around with all the home improvements my wife has planned

If only I had a 335i when I was young, free and single .. it'd have all the cosmetic accessories, and be running low 10's by now .. he he.

Hey man, how much is your meth kit going to be BigUp? How much for meth refills?
Meth runs into your gas tank and mixes with your fuel correct? so I could run meth with Shell 92 and then run my 93 octane map or leave it at the 91 octane map? I'd be interested in ordering the same kit if its cost effective and DYI easy, you can help me install it!

Wonder what the power difference between 91 octane map and 93 octane map would be with the meth injection, I have to say I absolutely love 91 V2.02, I'm running that again! It isn't as throttle responsive as 93 octane and the vehicle is not constantly in boost! I'm noticing much better gas mileage and it still gives me lots of good power, slightly quicker then the JB4 1 map. Best of both worlds I guess, and I don't have to worry about over doing it on my engine either without FMIC and DP.

Not sure how COBB works with met though, and which octane I should be running with it.

You'll have to take me for a spin when you get it installed!! Just send me a text.

The kit I am planning on buying is the Coolingmist VC-2 .. and depending on the tank I go with, will be either $599 or $699.

Typically, the tank and pump mounts in the trunk, and the meth line runs to the engine bay -- into a meth elbow / charge pipe, or just a DIY hole drilled into the existing pipe. There are various options -- including mounting everything in the engine bay .. which is why I've not quite yet pulled the trigger .. doing some last minute research.

From what I've seen, it takes 91 octane up to about 104 octane .. like running race gas all the time, but with the cooling benefits of meth injection. That's why people are getting near 400whp with just JB4+meth .. !

I'm not sure how it would work with the Cobb, since you would not be able to integrate the fail-safe system with a flash tune. However, if you were running the 93 octane map, boost would stay the same, but you'd have the added octane & cooling benefits of meth. Your car wouldn't go faster, but it would be much happier And you could run Shell.

You just wouldn't want to run an even higher boost without fail-safe, assuming Stage 2 comes out... although some people have seen the N54 cope quite well during a meth failure without failsafes.. not that you'd want to test that! LOL

---
Edit.. Going to wait another week or two before ordering meth kit .. they are doing some funky stuff with engine mounts at the moment, and I want to see how they get on with that! I've just ordered a BMS DCI & wheel spacers to keep me going .. oh and I ordered a Beltronics RX 65 radar/laser detector the other night .. was going cheap on the Visions website $200 refurb! Think they have more if others are interested, on a couple of days left on the sale tho.. http://www.visions.ca/catalogue/cate...productId=8251

** Update everyone **
I'm going to have the Loudest, 335i in Calgary! Hoping it sounds just short of an F1 car.

Orderred AR Catless Downpipes, when I have the shop install them I'm also deleting the secondary cat as well as deleting the mufflers. I'll have complete straight pipes from the turbo back! This should be very interesting to here.. Not to mension the nice 30+HP bump.
