BMW Promos / incentives

It looks like I will be placing a special order rather than getting something from inventory.

Can anyone help me with some info?
Has BMW offered any in promo/incentives in the recent past that would be applicable to doing a factory order.

I'm trying to determine if it's worth waiting for a promo to come along and what kind of discount might be available.

Right now, there are no factory incentives on 2012 1 series, and the finance/lease rates are 3.9/4.9%. All things factored in, a 2011 3-series coupe will cost about the same (probably a little more, but not much) than the equivalent 2012 1 series.

Incentives are on delivery date. So you need the incentive to be valid the day you take delivery.

Note that dealers can lock in incentives up to a date defined by BMW which may extend beyond the advertised period.

I'm not positive but I think the 3 series incentives are only good on current 'in country' cars and not on special orders?

Not sure if things have changed, but back when I ordered my car in 2009 they were able to lock in all incentives at that time even though my car was a custom order that I only took delivery of about 2.5 months later. My salesman advised that the incentives would be locked in and would only change if they became more favourable by the time I took delivery.

+1. I factory ordered my E91 and was able to take advantage of all incentives.

BMW Incentives offer to new-vehicle buyers who purchase a BMW in authorized BMW Centers throughout the United States.
