I got track times and dyno on stock car + tune completed

The ECS CF intake was installed, so this week I am getting dynoed again with the new intake and heading out to the track again to see if trap speed have improved

Tuning has remained unchanged

I should have a review by the end of this week.

track times lol. Its an intake. What is 20whp good for on a 380-400whp car 1mph and a tenth or so?

Learning from the past of these threads, there are going to be some "should of" comments.

Also, an enclosed ram air intake like this one will not produce at its full potential on a dyno as the car would have to be actually moving to produce realistic air pressure.

So the traps speed will show if the car is gaining anymore power off the dyno to confirm this theory

There is also more in all this to show before and after how boost performance ie quicker spool vs the stock intake, and if the turbos are running more efficiently while producing more power

air pressure is 0.01bar (= 0.15psi) at 200kmh (= 125mph), so it's almost no effect on that side

I did some runs with calibrated sensors and serious datalogging.

The figure seems to be too low. Could be the positioning of the sensors.

+1
And at the end what do people want? Dyno queens or quicker acceleration?

Yeah, where were you measuring the air pressure to get your result? Inside the airbox?

ECS CF N54 Intake Results Sneak Peek Review

I am working on it, its raining here in South Florida and track has been closed for two weeks now. I am being very detailed with this review cause you have some haters and sceptics, and then you have newbies that only think boost boost boost without the slightest idea of how the N54 platform works

Just to play devils advocate but once again track results mean very little. The power increase from intakes (ANY) are too little to distinguish from normal variables on different days such as track day prep, different day weather, driver mod etc. Your talking about a 5% power increase. Its a supporting mod not a game changer. Whatever you lose to without an intake, with no other changes you still lose to with an intake. I like dyno numbers though.

Every 5,10,20 horsepower counts . The same goes for weight reduction .
