Rear control arm and carrier bushings and ball joints
Does anyone know whether the ball joint in #3 can be used as an upgrade for the bushings in #2, #9 and #10. If not what would be good alternative for an upgrade?

feuer I just completed my rear spherical bearings swap with M3 control arms. I replaced every rubber bushing in the front and rear of my car with monoball joints. For the rear I found all the info needed for the swap in this thread that you might find helpful:
https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1781245 For number 9 from what I measured you would need a bearing around 50.8mm outer diameter, and none of those shown are that diameter. The only way to get a spherical joint in that location I know of is the Bimmerworld Rear Camber bearing kit: https://www.bimmerworld.com/Suspensi...aring-Kit.html For 2 and 10 shown in the diagram I used Meyle 3147100005 For number 3 it already has a spherical bearing so I obviously didn’t touch it. There are some details of what I did in the most recent page of my build thread linked in my signature.

Biginboca we need to ask Torgus what he used for #9. There is a post on German Boost with photos of all replaced with monoball without sleeve for #9

I am pretty sure I used: https://www.bimmerworld.com/Suspensi...aring-Kit.html
I believe those are in my picture right in the middle. You can see the sleeve and the shiny black collar inserts installed: I forgot I bought those, I did not document them on my build, I think it was last minute purchase. I will update my suspension thread. I do agree finding one that did not need the sleeve would be ideal. The bimmerworld kit is expensive for what it is. You also have to tack weld it in which means it is rather permanent. But you will likely change it once in your life.

Stock rear sway bar that was customized by @Barry@3DM to be 3 way adjustable.
He made the aftermarket solid front Eibach sway bar also 3 way adjustable. You can see the tabs here: I have the rear sway bar in the 'stock' middle position right now. I will probably try it at the slightly more aggressive setting to see if I notice much of a difference. I was going to buy the front and rear Eibach sway bars but he convinced me to just go with the large bar up front and stock rear.

I did some research and I remember the Hotchkis seemed to be the best for the money for adjustable links: https://www.hotchkis.net/product/e92...r-endlink-kit/ I want to install some rubber covers on the spherical heim joints that are open on the hotchkis endlinks: https://www.3sx.com/rubber-boot-cove...n-control-arms <--Just so they hopefully last a little longer.

Torgus I love the custom adjustable swaybars, that is awesome. Our suspensions are very close spec I have all the monoballs swapped too but I’m still running BMW Performance Suspension (Springs, front swaybar, and dampers) with my set up. So I also have a stock rear swaybar I suspect I could maybe go firmer since I installed a lsd but I’ve been nervous to mess with my swaybars at all because the ride is so good.
Love the parts you are using and when/if I go to coilovers the Ohlins are at the top of my list. One thing I don’t see in your pics is the SRP/Turner bump steer tie rod ends for the front. With all the attention you and feuer are putting into your suspensions I highly recommend those parts. I suffered from bumpsteer for a few years before installing them a few months ago and they really made a difference and I highly recommend them to anyone who cares as much as we do about developing the handling.

Too bad you are so far away it would be fun to try out each other's suspension.

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-turner-m...5990tms01~tms/ My front used to be lowered probably 2” over stock now it’s probably 1.5” and those ends made a difference I can feel on the highway. If you get that kind of wandering steering when you hit bumps at highway speeds those ends make a nice improvement. From looking at your suspension post linked you are low enough that they would be helpful. Based on the side shot at the bottom of that post I would say use the 1/4” spacer and you should be good.

Have you replaced the toe arms/bushings? I’ve heard that’s a source of squirrelly rear ends on acceleration for our cars.

I wonder how long the joints last open like that.

Right after I ordered my bearings I noticed there was a lot of talk about this mod and it got very popular, and in a few days everything went back ordered. With the Bimmerworld camber bearing I think you don’t have other options for that bearing location.
