E30 Automatic Transmission Fluid Check

Hello all, have a 1991 325i automatic. How do I check and fill the automatic transmission fluid?
Below pic is what I suspect is the dipstick-
No pull handle but a twist knob and pull
As pictured. Am I right?
Where does the fluid get added?

That sure looks like where it is supposed to be, but the dipstick has a ring normally.

In any case, this video gives a good explanation of how to device the trans.
