325i Oil light

Doing some work on a buddy's 2006 325i. He has been getting a oil light code while his oil level has been totally fine (According to the electronic dipstick). Changed his oil less than 1000 miles ago so cant imagine that is the reason for it either. Has anyone dealt with similar issues?

Failed oil pressure sensor?

Might want to get an OBD2 code reader and check for any oil sensor related codes
