To clarify details; it is a handmade intake with a scope from a lightweight carbon fiber material kit that includes a K&N filter ($100 cost) and a BMW original Mass Air sensor ($250 cost new). The original cost of these items directly from the GruppeM Racing in Japan was over $3K and Handmake quality replicas from HK at the time was about 40% off without additional items.

At the time, this intake was the only one that was proven as adding real additional power (about +7 HP) to the E90 platform and was a perfect addition to performance ECU software upgrade. It also sounds amazing over 4000 RPM.

Additional Mass Air sensor makes it easier to swap the intake before performing smog (especially in Cali) and eliminate the possibility of breaking your original plastic MAF sensor and the screws.
