Shiv, so the only reason you went back to DVs is so you wouldn't have the noise? With fast shifting on the 6mt and your boost hold between shifts does the BOV/DV even open?
During casual driving, it opens up as much as usual. And under aggressive shifting, with the new throttle delay fix, it barely opens. It "squeeks" instead of going "whoooosh".

The real reason I went back to recirc is because I don't like keeping my induction system open to unfiltered air since the valves are often option during cruise/idle. I couldn't really care less about the sound. My radio is always on and playing 80s music.

True, I know there is a is a little filter that goes on the Synapse Synchronic with the recirc fitting for this very reason, but I'm not sure how well it will fit on a 135i. One more question, with the meth kit and map 4 is it safe to run factory plugs and gap? Or did you lower the gap and use colder plugs for your car?

Shiv,

Is there a way to make it fit on a AA BOV charge pipe? Or do I have to go back to my OEM charge pipe with some DVs?

TIA

shiv will u throw in a compatible meth bung into the kit for those of us who don't have/want the stock elbow for installation and would rather have it welded ourselves?

Really? That lower flex elbow doesn't seem like it would come off with out popping those pressure fit clamps. So basically this new up-pipe will be a challenge for aftermarket FMIC's. The top of the up-pipe doesn't seem like it has changed, just the lower section.

This is amazing, hopefully its still out after I'm out of warranty. Or I could buy it now and install it then....

So many options and only 1900 miles on the car.

I made the aluminium pipe to the right in the picture since the helix fmic pipe didn´t fit, no big deal.
But all cars produced after april 09 need a similar solution to be able to fit an fmic.

Why then will Vishnu's flex pipe be a problem? Isn't it the silicone between the top of the up-pipe and the charge pipe? The bottom of the up-pipe is the only thing that has changed.

The new pipe is done in one piece, so you have to replace the bottom part also if you use the vishnu flex pipe.
You cant use the new pipe at all.
A solution would be to do a similar pipe that i have done and just drill a hole in the metal pipe for the meth bung

hi Shiv, i've been waiting for your meth kit for a long time!!! performance-wise, meth kit is my last stop for moding my car!!! i'm really excited!! do you think your new meth kit would work with the lastest STETT charge pipe that comes with dual stainless meth bungs?

The meth bung should be as far away from the throttle body as possible to ensure optimal atomization and cooling effect. I don't know how that Stett pipe is oriented. But if it's closer to the TB, it's not idea. We mount our jet several inches upstream of the bypass valves.

Installed:

Note that there is no exposed hose (other than the short section that goes from the pump up into the tank). The new tanks have a 90 degree swivel fitting on the bottom. Everything is run under the carpet (which is also where the electronics are mounted.)

Cheers

Has anyone thought of a good way to make the battery compartment resistant to possible leaks? I know this is a very rare thing, but it would definitely be a nice compliment to the system — Just some extra protection

either way I'm 150% getting this kit.

The Stett pipe has the Meth bung before the DV valves and close to the temp sensor...
