LED interior light help

So I went to a local shop to buy some led's to install for the interior of my E90 but I have come to a hitch with my rear dome light more specifically, it seems that the smaller circular (map lights?) don't work when the car is running and if they are on they will turn off in about 2-3 min with the car idling. The odd thing is it seems to work fine when the car is off and only with the key out.

I didn't buy any specific kit or anything (just what the shop recommended) and the lights do work so I am wondering if it could be that there is too much draw for the lights to work maybe?

Also as a side note if I press the button to turn on the front dome does it turn on the back dome as well? because it is what is happening to me :P

So yea if anyone here is an electrical genius and knows what might be wrong please help

I have the same issue. I have the Interior E90 kit from E-92 lighting. I am going to try and install them all over again, to see if that helps, otherwise i am going to return them. No use in having them if they dont work...

You have to buy a properly designed kit so everything may function properly.

Don't be misled by false advertised products: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=349167

Did you guys every resolve this?

I bought mine from E92 lighting (whom I have bought other products and had no problems). And mine are doing the EXACT same thing!!!

I sent him a message and it's been more than a day...which ok...he could be busy but I'm getting pissed. Installing this was somewhat of a pain in the ass even though the second time, it'll be easier if it comes to that.

This is just crazy especially if he knew about this problem and is still selling these kits. I'm not someone who wants to leave bad feedback or start anything on here but jeez...this crap should not be happening.

PLEASE tell me what you guys ended up doing....and Mike I will be coming to you if I end up getting a refund....

I've been wanting to do my interior but finding time to have a date night with my Bimmer, flat head, and a bunch of tiny LED bulbs hasn't quite happened. Looks great though! I'm jealous. Can't wait to do mine

If you're interested in LED check out v-leds.com. That's what I use. Bright as hell but clean looking. I hate the LEDs/HIDs that look like colored bulbs instead of a smooth bright glow. Whatever brand was used in this thread, I must admit, looks amazing. I would be interested in knowing as well.

i got mine from e92 lighting... the map lights turned off after 5 seconds... i swapped them with the footwell LEDs and now they work fine, but now the map LEDs are not as strong compared to before the swap... seems like e92 lighting is taking pics and info from other peoples threads and posting them as his own instructions on the web site. the kit came with no instructions, just the LEDs
