Power pin one is for combox media and power pin two is for the one with bmw assist. Is inpa running while you are trying to code with NCS expert? NCSexpert will not working while inpa is running.

Inpa not running whilst using ncs...still have most open from mulf as waiting on the loop to arrive...but dont think this will affect the issue im having.

Had a look at your pdf..looks great...checked the connections and they all seem to match what ive done.

Ill check what your saying re blue and striped wires being slighty different...i think you mean pins 17 and 20 looked swapped on yours compared to mine?

The combox is coded off the most connection. It will not connect if there is a broken most bus.

i thought most only was for audio...so should be able to connect etc but not hear anything?...or am i wrong?

so ill have to wait for most loop to arrive before i can connect to combox?

is it possible to just plug it into the old tcu or mulf?

Thanks

The MOST bus is a major data transfer system in the car. You will not be able to connect to the combox without it fully working. Try giving power to the mulf or tcu and plugging it in to the most bus for now.

Possible most bus modules TCU, Mulf , combox , sat module.
DAB , IBOC , CDC, Logic 7 amplifier plus the head unit be it
idrive or pro radio.
If any module in the most loop is bad the whole loop stops working.
The first indication is loss of sound in a Logic 7 system.

Usb comes from the mulf 2 hi or combox.
Wireless bluetooth music comes from a combox in and idrive
equipped system.

Just noticed when I reconnected the tcu with only power and ground and plugged it in....prior to plugging in most the tcu had a red light coming out of it(at most connection point)...I'm guessing combox should do the same?..I havnt seen the combox do this...should I be seeing the combox power up the same as the tcu?

If everything is installed properly you will not get an SOS error. To delete the SOS error add -TELD to your VO and code the kombi module.

You are not removing any of the VO codes. You are adding "-TELD". This is the factory code that removes BMW Assist.

ohh, I thought by removing that from the kombi it would just be hiding it from displaying on the instrument cluster, thank you

Yes that is the standard fix .
There doesn't seem to be any side effects from it.

If you removed the TCU you will get and SOS error as that
is where SOS resides.
Also the switch in the FZD but I don't think most people change
that out.
