Eonon GA9465B Install, No sound
hi guys, I've searched but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
I just got a new Eonon GA9465B android head unit for my E90. I do have optical cables, but also the 8 speaker wires like the website said would work without the decoder. But after install, no sound. Did I not hook something up correctly? Do I need to add a wire somewhere? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Which sound system do you have .
Did you transfer the optical connector (Most connector)to the new connector at the back of the Radio . (With the piggyback android installs) This seems to be common mistake with the Android installs and the sound won't work if you have Logic 7. Can you figure out which pin goes where. You must know if you have the Hi Fi (all analog connectors between the head unit and amp) Or logic 7 (fiberoptic connection between the Head Unit and AmP.) To find out use mdecoder.com option 676 is Hi Fi option 677 is Logic 7 Pictures would help. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...hlight=android Last edited by ctuna; 05-21-2020 at 06:45 PM.. |

I have the hifi system with the professional head unit.
On the plugs of the Eonon, there are wires to connect the antenna power and amp power. But I get no sound at all. everything seems to be securely connected but I will recheck that tomorrow. there are no spots to do anything with the optical wires for the back of the Eonon. Only if I had to get the encoder. |

Then you should call the person that sold you the unit.
I would reinstall your old radio as a sanity check. Does the 12 volts to the amp still switch on . Are you sure the cables are all the way in. Last edited by ctuna; 05-21-2020 at 11:15 PM.. |

The one thing I noticed on the wiring schematic on the radio is that it says ant/amp GROUND for the outputs connecting to the factory amp and antenna. Should this be a 12v output to turn it on? |

The amp has it's own ground and power I think.
I thought the wake up sequence in the car turned it on. so funny, I installed this unit last night too. I don't have logic 7 sound but I had the same issue with no sound until I hooked the amp connections. It hooked up after that and sounded amazing. So far I really like this unit.
I wanted an oem port for my carplay so I bought a spare USB armrest port and cable from amazon. I soldered a male usb onto the wire and hooked it up to the female usb that controls carplay on the head unit. No dice. it's definitely my wiring set up though because I can't get the wire to charge when i use a wall socket mount as well. Anyone every have experience with this? Pics attached. |

i figured it out. i hooked up the wires correctly but in the settings, the selector for external amp was turned off so that wire didn't have any power coming out. Once I relaxef and took time to go through all the screens and settings, I found it.
Thanks everyone. |

I know this is an old thread....
.....but I would love to find the setting. I just installed my Stereo and have no sound. I'm going to pull it out and check my connections (again) but it all seems right. I would love to know where in the menu I can select the amp?
