Thanks! The back brakes are already the same as the 335i, so all you have to do is the fronts. I definitely think it was worth it, plus you can find everything you need for the front brakes on here sometimes for a good price. The shift knob feels much better than the stock one. Now I just need an M3 steering wheel

Here's mine
11 year old car 5/2005 production and the only major problem was the VC leak. As long as you keep up with maintenance you will be okay. Original engine and transmission.

Not original engine or transmissions lol. Kinda a frankenstein. Age is starting to show with the rear of thr e90's but still look amazing for being 10 years old.

HI, I owned my first BMW in 1978. It was a 68 2002 and I drove that car for 17 years. Sold it in 1995 for $1,000 as at that time they weren't as collectable as they are now. After 21 years with Toyota ( I still have 3 of them) I got the itch for a BMW again. Started looking for a 02 then decided to get something newer so after some research and not much more cost I settled on 06 330i and after about a month I just bought a 06 330i with only 12,700 miles on it and has been garaged. Its like a new car. Build date of 8/05. Auto, Alpine white, beige interior. Premium and Cold Weather packages. No sports package but that is ok. Living in the Central Sierra the roads are beat up so I just changed out the original Bridgestone run flats to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+ 235/45/17 and the ride is so much better. Looking forward to using the car part time. Maybe down the road I will do some of the easier mods on the suspension. I have to figure out how to post pictures.

Here's my 2006 330i M Sport
Bought it back in 2013 and I have been loving it ever since. Managed to find one which was apparently an ex-BMW launch car, so the spec is pretty unreal. Does a 328iT with a 330i intake count as a 330i? It has more horsepower, since the ECU has to be reflashed and can be tuned at the same time. Basically, the engine block is the same and the intake manifold can be swapped.
Here is the thread on mine from another forum: http://forum.e90fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1095889 Yes, after the swap, it has a lot more power, especially above 4K RPM.

Posted ages ago in this thread, not too long after I got my car, so may as well just add more current pics of how she looks now.
2005 (yes, we got the E90 back in 2005 in South Africa) BMW E90 330i 6MT sparkling graphite metallic, so possibly one of the oldest E90 330i's on this forum. Admittedly, these were taken a few years ago, but she has not changed since. Still love the style 188 staggered wheels! This was how she looked not too long after I bought her, still the original style 159 wheels which are now my spare/service set. Always chuckle at this pic. This is what happens when the rear tyres have less than ideal tread (not worn mind you) on rain soaked grass on an incline - traction control, wheel slipping, needed a gentle push... |

I do believe after the mods you speak of puts them at similar power. The only thing that is 330i is the intake manifold though. The ECU is still different, and there are a bunch of other differences as well(not engine related) I am not knocking your car by any means, i just do not think a 328i with a 330i intake manifold(tune or not) makes it a 330i.
LCI 328i with the mods you have plus 335i brakes will be better than a 330i in theory. Quote:

Yes, I know it is not a 330i, as tempting as it is to plaster a 330i tag on the rear. It is a shame BMW never made those in a wagon, but nice to point out that a 328 can be made into a "330" engine fairly easily. I also realize the ECU has to be programmed to recognize the 3 stage manifold, which I did with ESS Tuning. I have not found a 335 kit for the brakes and I am reluctant to ask the dealer or whoever is doing the brakes to look up all of the parts probably needed. I probably will just get the BMW Performance kit unless I can find something else: https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E91-32...ance/ES205608/
