Done the hotside pressure test on IC and Charge pipe, nothing. So I'm just replacing vacuum lines and checking.
Until you can get that boost leak fixed you're just not going to be able to make power
Sounds like you may be on the right track with the vacuum lines, also be SURE your DVs are holding pressure.

Yea sadly and I'm still being cheap to go get it really professionally checked out. Funny I keep thinking DV's even though I switched to awe dv's but the mounting on the stock charge pipe could be worn. but I put 18 psi with a compressor through it and sprayed , nothing major...

Thanks rader1. Here is another run which I hope I got right this time.

I'm assuming this is a stage 2+ sport map?

Looks pretty good, you had timing corrections during(what i assume is the 2-3) shift but corrections during a shift aren't a huge concern. You only had one correction during the actuall pull which is good.

Did you have traction control completely disabled? You had a throttle closure immediately after the 1-2 shift and another small immediately after that closure. It looks like they were TC related but without knowing if TC was on or not i can't say.

Like all Cobb logs your AFRs are beautiful.

Dinan doesn't really offer any really aggresive tunes. Honestly though, stage 2 dinan is probably closer to sport than drive, but it's still nothing to really brag about.

Do you already have Dinan stage 2 or just thinking about it? Either way you can just order the Cobb AP and try it out and return it if the power gain isn't enough to justify the cost of swapping tunes. There have been A LOT of users switching from Dinan to the AP.

Nope I was considering Dinan stg 2 but ended up getting the Cobb. I'm trying to decide between Stg1 Sport vs Aggr, I'm on Sport now and it's great. But knowing I can push it even more is making want to make the move to aggressive. I'm just worried about misfires.

Just flash over to aggressive and see how the car likes it. No misfires and clean logs mean you're good to go

Well if you have access to 93 (or E85 and will blend) then go for it. Data log & if your logs are clean + there are no misfires, you're good to go

I will be writing a review in a week or so about PTF after I get all my data together. I'm currently getting a remote e-tune. It's not easy to tune in these cars in the 90's with humidity in the upper 70's. I don't have meth, but I do have an upgraded IC.

They have been excellent to work with. I would highly recommend them.

I can say that all I wanted was timing put back into the 1+ aggressive map and the car just feels alive now - but I know people like to see real data and not just hear about a "feeling"

I'll be seeing Jake Hershorin in person for tune soon. I'll be getting dyno tuned by Draco performance first though. The more maps the merrier lol

Haha very nice -- Any difference in the maps you're having made?? Like a Race Map & then a E85 maps??? Or just 2 maps from different tuners?

So I got dyno'd today. Really did it cause I was just curious. Local shop did a facebook deal of 2 runs for $25. I showed up last week as the first appointment of the day, about 20 mins before they opened...and they basically ignored me for an hour and a half while they continued to tune a Mustang for a customer who wasn't at the shop. So I left. A friend of mine who works at another larger local shop suggested I try them, albeit at a higher cost. It was the right move. Friendly people. Professional and took care of me.

2009 335i
Cobb Accessport running Stage 2+FMIC Aggressive with stock throttle map ver 4.02 beta
VRSF downpipes
ETS 5" FMIC
BMS DCI

Conditions: 90.69F, 29.55 in-Hg, Humidity 34%, SAE 1.02

SAE it's 344Hp and 387ft/lb (more correct)
STD it's 351Hp and 395ft/lb (some posts indicate a lot of guys post this instead)

So while I'm happy with the numbers, have a few questions. Cobb's data indicates 364/424 for a Stage 2+FMIC Aggressive ver 301 map. That car was on a Mustang dyno and it did have a full exhaust(I do not). I don't expect to match the numbers. I understand how different dyno's can be.

Curious though if anyone else has seen similar numbers for similar conditions on a Dynojet? Ambient temp was almost 91f which is about the same as what Cobb's is quoted at. Are they quoting SAE or STD? STD seems to be inflated and everyone I talk to says it's not at all what you should go by for an accurate reading.

I guess I think I'm close. I don't see a full exhaust being enough to make up that difference from SAE(probably not STD either).

My other runs were very similar, this one just surpassed them by a few hp and few ft/lbs a bit(this was the 3rd and final run).

The torque line had me a little concerned. I understand the big peak may be related to a "cam timing event" from what I read on another site, but the earlier ones seem a little shakey.

I'm gonna try and log the car this weekend and post them up for review. The guy who dyno'd my car was not the BMW tuner at the shop. He was familiar with them, but he didn't want to give any detailed info since this was just pulls and it wasn't his area of expertise(understandable).

I don't know for sure yet. I'm getting a meth and 93 octane tune at Draco. I may go exotic with Jake and do some e85 and meth

Whenever looking at dyno numbers remember that without a baseline it's almost useless.
350hp/390tq is good numbers if the car baselines at 260hp/280tq. Not so good if it baselined at 290hp/310tq.

Get those logs and post em up!!!

That's legit --- I was considering buying one of the drums w/ a pump handle and all, but my job's putting me on the road so that's put on hold for now
