Wobble at highspeed 60+

Hi

The car seems to have a sort of wobble/shake at higher speeds. It's really noticeable above 60+mph. I can't notice it at lower speeds but the faster the speed the worse it gets. I've got new tyres and had them balanced a few months ago but its started to happen over the weekend.

It's a 330D 07

Anyone have an ideas? Thank you!

Did it happen before the new tires? If so, you've found your problem.

I've just checked mine and nothing has snapped but the rubber donut is looking very knackered.

I guess that might be something to do with it

The rubber flex joint usually vibrates worse under acceleration and vibrates less under steady state and coasting.

Tires vibrate worse the faster you go. Just because they were balanced a couple of months ago does not mean that they are not the problem. A tire could have lost a balance weight. You could have also hit a pot hole and broken a belt in the tire.

Suspension issues typically start out vibrating a little and get worse over time.

You do not state if the issue is in the front or rear. Front issues can usually be felt in the steering wheel. Rear cannot be felt in the steering wheel unless it is really bad. Then not felt very much.
